ASHLEY FORCE CHATS UP SAN FRAN RADIO STAR RONN OWEN

Prior to the 21st annual FRAM Autolite NHRA Nationals NHRA Funny Car driver Ashley Force had the opportunity to sit down in-studio with KGO 810 AM host Ronn Owens for an in-depth interview in the largest news-talk radio station in San Francisco. The interview was both educational and entertaining for Owens as the always likeable Force brought him up to speed on what drag racing is, how she handles her 8,000 hp Castrol GTX Ford Mustang, and what fans can expect when they come to Infineon Raceway this weekend. Remembering Eric Medlen

He may be gone, but Eric Medlen will never be forgotten, at least not at Infineon Raceway. Medlen, a native of nearby Oakdale (Stanislaus County), succumbed in March, 2007, to injuries sustained from an accident at a test session in Florida.
To honor Medlen, Infineon Raceway created two special events that will continue in 2008. Race fans are invited to attend the 2nd annual Eric Medlen Nitro Night Dinner at the fabulous Fior d'Italia Restaurant in San Francisco, as well as the 2nd annual Eric Medlen Ice Cream Social. Continued >>

NHRA Drag Racers Ready for Favorite Race of the Year in Sonoma

The fastest drivers in the world will converge on the Infineon Raceway drag strip, July 25-27, for the FRAM Autolite NHRA Nationals in Sonoma. The world-famous drag strip has always been a favorite stop on the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series circuit.
"Each year I can't wait to get back to Sonoma. I consider it my home track and I love racing there. They've done so much with the drag strip; it's one of the top places we go each year," said Funny Car driver Gary Scelzi, who was inducted into the raceway's Wall of Fame in 2007 and is a two-time Funny Car winner there. CSRG Charity Kickoff, Aug. 3

The Classic Sports Racing Group will host their 5th Charity Kickoff event at Cornerstone Gardens on Aug. 3. Help kickoff the 5th CSRG Charity Challenge, scheduled for Oct. 10-12 at Infineon Raceway, and socialize with fellow vintage racers and guests. The afternoon will feature hors d'oeuvres and wine tasting as well as a casual showing of race cars, sports cars and featured new models from Maserati of North America. All proceeds from your tax deductible ticket will be donated to Speedway Children's Charities, the charitable arm of Infineon Raceway. Continued >>
