Cold temperatures and the threat of rain did not deter the 200 drivers who showed up for another night of racing under the lights on Northern California's fastest quarter-mile drag strip at Infineon Raceway.
First-time winners included Trevor Lefler of Petaluma in Sport Street and Castro Valley's Jeff Benjamin, who took top honors in the High School division. Tom Johnson became a repeat winner in Jack Pot, as did Doug Love (Motorcycle), Art Gershman (Comp Rod) and Doug McCay (Street).
As a reminder, there will be no drag racing next Wednesday night (April 2), but the program will return in two weeks on April 9, which will feature the return of the Top The Cops program.
