Local Short Tracks
Check out these local short tracks to get your fill of racing all year round! ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY http://www.allamericanspeedway.com/ Located at the Placer County Fairgrounds in Roseville, CA, the All American Speedway started out as a quarter-mile dirt track that doubled as a rodeo stadium in 1955, and was originally called "Roseville Speedway". Similar to most speedways in the area, the fairgrounds did not build the track specifically for auto racing. But after the success of the Jalopies and Super Modifieds, the track was paved in 1972 and took on the name "All American Speedway". ALTAMONT MOTORSPORTS PARK www.altamontracing.com/ Located on 83 acres just outside Livermore, California (Alameda County), "Altamont Speedway" first opened its gates on July 22, 1966. Throughout its long history, the track--variously known as Altamont Speedway, Altamont Raceway, Altamont Raceway Park and Altamont Raceway Park and Arena--has hosted a wide variety of events. It also has attracted some of the biggest names in racing history, including notables such as Foyt, Andretti, and Unser. ANTIOCH SPEEDWAY www.antiochspeedway.com Antioch Speedway, located at the Contra Costa County Fairgrounds in Antioch, is home to a lightning fast ¼ mile, semi-banked clay oval. Known as a "bullring," the tacky race track provides for non-stop action on the tight track. Antioch Speedway hosts some of the most exciting dirt track racing events in the area and runs a weekly race program every Saturday night, mid-March through September. A typical Saturday night program features between 5 - 7 different classes of cars, from beginner classes to the professional classes, such as Sprint Cars, Late Models and Dirt Modifieds. We host several special events throughout the season. Check out Antioch Speedway, "Where Action Is The Attraction!" MADERA SPEEDWAY www.racemadera.com/ March 1st marks the start of the 2008 racing season with the first open practice and play day for the Madera Speedway. The grandstands with be open and free for all race fans that would like to attend any of the practices held in March. Come out and see your favorite drivers and the new look of their cars for the 2008 season.  UKIAH SPEEDWAY www.ukiahspeedway.com Located at the Redwood Empire Fairgrounds in Ukiah, California, the Ukiah Speedway is host to some of Northern California's most exciting racing action. We offer a tight outdoor Motocross track and a quarter-mile asphalt oval for stock car auto racing. We also offer one of the most popular "Outlaw Go-Kart" racing series in Northern California at the Lakeport Fairgrounds. Our Lakeport facility offers racing through the winter on our indoor dirt oval. Also this year, Ukiah Speedway is teaming up with Velocity Video to bring fans a half-hour race highlight show, called North Coast Race Report. This show will air Sundays at 7PM and Thursdays at 2:30PM on The Bay Area's TV50.
